Home security camera systems have enjoyed popularity recently thanks partly to their declining costs, ease of use, and an ever-growing public safety conscious. Though intimidating at first, home surveillance systems are really not complicated to set up and install, and with a few simple components that can be purchased at any electronics retailer, you can even make your own in no time.
Components
You will obviously need some security cameras. For starters, let's go with one and you can add more as you become more acquainted with the system. There are several options available, and if you wanted, you could even just use an old camcorder. Just make sure that whatever camera you choose has an "A/V OUT" jack. You'll also need a monitor to view the camera's images, which can just be a TV, provided it has an "A/V IN" jack and a video cable, most likely a composite video cable with a yellow head, that's long enough to reach from your camera to the monitor. Other things you may need include a DC power extension cord and a mounting bracket of some kind to mount your camera.
Camera Placement
Place the camera in the area you wish to monitor. It's generally agreed that the best place to put a camera is high and angled downward, giving you the widest view of the monitored area. You can either place the camera on a shelf or, if you want to point it downward, on a small tripod. They sell tiny tripods designed for small digital cameras at retail stores that would suit a small security camera quite well. There are also commercial camera mounts that allow you to mount the camera on the wall or ceiling, but these can be expensive and ugly.
The Monitor
With the camera in place, you obviously need to plug it into a power outlet to keep in on constantly, which may require an extension cord. With that done, connect the "A/V OUT" jack to the monitor's "A/V IN" jack using the video cable. Since your monitor will most likely be in another room, you'll need a very long cable. You can either run it along the ground, hugging the bottom of the wall, or within the walls itself, though this will require some advanced knowledge of hardwiring.
Viewing
With everything connected, simply turn on the camera. You shouldn't need to be recording anything for the camera to stream its images to the monitor, so don't worry about that. Turn on the monitor and set it to the proper video channel, which is usually found by selecting "INPUT" or "VIDEO" on the remote control. The images from the camera should begin streaming to the monitor, the final step in creating your very own security camera system.
Wireless
It's only natural to not want to run long, messy cables through your home, in which case you can employ a wireless adapter, which usually comes in two parts: A receiver and a transmitter. Simply run a small video cable to a wireless video transmitter from the camera's "A/V OUT" jack and have it in synch with a wireless video receiver, which should be connected to the monitor via their respective video jacks.
Multiple Cameras
You can use a simple video switcher, which has multiple video inputs and a single video output, to hook multiple cameras up to your newly created system. Simply connect the video out jack of each camera to the video in jacks of the video switcher. With that done, you can switch between cameras by pressing the corresponding button on the video switcher. For example, one camera will be hooked up to "VIDEO 1" and another to "VIDEO 2." To view each camera's images, simply press the button that correlates to that particular camera. With wireless systems, you don't need a video switcher--you can simply change the frequency on the wireless receiver to connect to whichever camera you like.
Everything About Security Camera Systems
In general, the security camera system functioned as a watchdog or prefer to say as a security guard. Based on an understanding of its main functions, the security camera system is not used as a home security system, but has been used in the business sector, because the security camera system is the perfect solution to avoid or minimize crimes of theft or other crimes. Therefore, we often find ourselves with a system of security cameras in banks, hotels, shopping centers and various other public places.

Do not miss all the seals installed in each section that often opens the lid.
Interior security cameras.
Unlike security cameras outdoors, inner tubes are made of plastic. This is because the camera in the room did not need special attention from climate disruption.

The camera is very effective in location with minimal lighting conditions and still dark.
C-Mounth camera.
This type of camera provides flexibility for users to change the type of lens that is attached to this House. With this option, will maximize the function of the camera to capture images in accordance with the wishes of the user.
Based on the installation, security camera system can be divided into:
Wireless camera.
This type of camera is very popular due to high flexibility. The lack of cables makes this type of camera can be easier to install and capable of handling a wide area.
Camera cable.
This type of camera has better image quality than the type of wireless cameras. But often considered impractical because not all non-technical people are able to perform the installation.
